More than one relationship between dog and owner has been strained by excessive barking. If you don’t see to it soon, you might lose interest in your dog and subconsciously start to resent it. If that happens you might destroy the relationship between you and your dog.

Here are three effective ways to stop your dog from excessive barking.

Shock Collar

Everyone knows the shock collar and the fact that it will cause physical pain to your friend. It works not only with barking, but with digging and other behaviours, too. The problem is that you will have to hurt your dog and that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. That’s why everyone has to decide if they are ready to hurt their dog in order to save their relationship or it it’s not worth it.

Obedience School

If you have the money you could take your dog to an obedience school. Unfortunately obedience schools are very expensive and not everyone can pay that money. The obedience school will turn your dog into a well-behaved friend and will eliminate the friction from your relationship – if you have the money and love your dog I recommend visiting such a school.

BarkOff device

Last but not least: The BarkOff device that captures your dog’s attention whenever it barks to stop the barking. The problem is that it only works with barking. To stop digging or other bad manners you have to look for another solution. Still, if your dog is barking excessively the BarkOff device can save the relationship between you and your dog.

All it does is respond to your dog with sound whenever he barks. It doesn’t hurt him in any way, just grabs his attention to distract him.

All in all there are three effective ways to stop the excessive barking of your dog. Of course there are more options, but these are the most effective that work fast and solve the problem before it’s too late.
